What this site covers

TaxCash4Refund is not a lender and does not prepare returns or arrange refund advances. Refund advances are offered by some tax-preparation companies through partner banks; this site explains how they work, what they can cost and what to consider first, so readers can compare options on their own.

Looking for paid help?

Anyone paid to prepare a federal return must have a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and sign the return. CPAs, enrolled agents and tax attorneys can represent taxpayers before the IRS; you can check credentials in the IRS Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers with Credentials and Select Qualifications. Taxpayers with low or moderate income may qualify for free preparation through the IRS VITA and TCE volunteer programs, and anyone who owes more than they can pay can apply for an IRS payment plan directly at irs.gov.
